The ‘Franco Navarro’, the ‘Juan Rojas’, the Municipal… Any name is worth traveling back in time and remembering Almería football with the public glued to the players, that special atmosphere and games that will remain to be remembered. Because if a few years ago the north end was demolished to make way for the new home of the URA Almería rugby team, the grandstand and the south end are also being removed. Therefore, only the preference will remain standing. The works have begun and are going at a good pace.

They have a budget of 155,775.81 euros, which includes the demolition of the south end – practically the two corners are already left – and the grandstand, which still has more than half left. The deterioration of the facility due to its disuse led to its end. This action will open up the playing area more. The demolition will cover an area of 4,190.34 m² and a volume of 9,901.2 m³, with a completion period of two months. To carry out the work, which involves dismantling lighting, services, roof, trusses and metal structure, the work area has been properly marked, mainly freeing up the space adjacent to the Stadium used as parking.

It is important to remember that an improvement in energy efficiency will also be carried out at the municipal facility. This project, which has been awarded to ‘Montajes Mecaval SA’, represents an investment of 241,382 euros, VAT included.
