State press ignores death of Cuban due to gas leak

As expected, the state press ignored the death of a Cuban who worked at the Cárdenas Oil Drilling and Extraction Company, in Matanzas, after inhaling toxic gases, while with another colleague trying to repair a leak.

The Antillean responds to the name of Renier García Gómez, and was head of Collection Center 7, of the aforementioned company, and was the father of two children.

Although the news has been shared on the official Facebook profiles of the Cárdenas Oil Drilling and Extraction Company, the Castro press has not reported anything about it, and so far remains silent about the case.

“Today to the young reserve Renier García, his death will not only bring sadness to family and co-workers, but to all those who knew him throughout his life”they indicated on the Facebook profile “Cuadros Epep”.

In that sense, it has been Renier’s family and co-workers who have offered details on social networks about this event that claimed the life of this Cuban.

“There was a gas leak and two men were in serious condition. Unfortunately, there was no time. “One of the men died, and to my surprise, it was Renier,” said a person close to the deceased young man.

It is worth remembering that, in the accident at the Varadero oil company, two workers were affected after inhaling toxic gases while fixing the underground gas leak. One of them was the one who died this Friday.

Apparently, hours before the death of the young Cuban, vitamins and medications were being requested on social networks to help him recover, because they were not available in the hospital where he was admitted.
