Gasoline will increase again: what will be the rate floor for the next three months

The price of gasoline will have a floor increase of 160 pesos per liter in the next three months and that of diesel oil of 100 pesos.

The Secretary of Energy Eduardo Chirillo announced that the price of gasoline will have a floor increase of $160 per liter in the next three months and that of diesel oil of $100.

Chirillo revealed the official plan regarding fuel prices when speaking to businessmen at the Petroleum Club.

In principle, this would be the increase floor given that Chirillo would have referred to the pure price of each liter of fuel without taking into account the pending tax adjustments.

Despite repeated requests, neither Chirillo nor his spokespersons responded to this media’s queries to clarify the official’s statements and scope.

The rise in fuel prices directly affects inflation and therefore an announcement of these characteristics leads companies and individuals to begin reviewing budgets and production costs for the coming months.

In that same conversation, Chirillo reiterated that the Government will move forward in removing subsidies in all energy areas.
