Contracting companies Goldfields that operate in Cerro Corona: Stracon, MUR WY, Ichus, Newrest, Maxlim, GYS and Yanalyain collaboration with the Social Management Department of Gold Fields, are promoting the innovative professional internship program called “Jóvenes Hualgayoquinos Mineros-2024”.
This program, which has been implemented for the third consecutive year, aims to inspire and challenge 9 young people from the area of influence of Gold Fields, graduates and high school students, giving them the opportunity to carry out their professional internships in Cerro Corona. The goal is to contribute to the training and development of these students as they begin their professional lives.
Daniel Roca, Operations Manager of Gold Fields, welcomed the interns and expressed: “During your period in Cerro Corona, we hope that this experience is very fruitful for both you and us. Make the most of this new challenge and put into practice what you have learned in your respective educational institutions.”
The manager of Social Management, Architect Henry Rojas, thanked all the contractor companies of Cerro Corona that were involved in this project. “This program would not have been possible without the support of Gold Fields employees and the contracting companies that work in Cerro Corona. As Gold Fields, we are committed and contributing to the development of Hualgayoquina education. Now we are betting on the professional development of young people in our direct area of influence, with the aim of providing them with tools that allow them to acquire new skills for their professional future,” said Rojas.
