A motorcyclist lost his life last night in a tragic traffic accident that occurred on Provincial Route No. 31, a few kilometers from National Route 7.
The incident occurred at kilometer 96, according to the Police of the Tres Sargentos Detachment, Carmen de Areco district. The collision involved a Honda CG 150 cc motorcycle and a Fiat truck.
According to the first investigations, the motorcycle, driven by a young man from Carmen de Areco, was traveling downhill on Route 31. In the opposite direction and lane, the truck was traveling, guided by a man from the city of Salto. .
For reasons that are still being investigated, the truck collided with the motorcycle. The impact was of such magnitude that the motorcyclist died instantly.
Ambulances from the Carmen de Areco Municipal Hospital, Volunteer Firefighters from that town and police personnel from the Three Sergeants Detachment arrived at the scene of the accident.
Police officers carried out the corresponding investigations to determine the causes of the accident and worked to order traffic in the area, which was momentarily interrupted.
