Practitioners of Eastern and Western martial arts, traditional and contemporary, prepare for the next National Open Martial Arts Tournament “Gold Star” 2024, on October 12, in Salamanca, Guanajuato (Gto).
As has been the case in past years, this event, considered the most representative of the Bajío area, has been open to practitioners of Karate, Taekwondo, Limalama, Sport Karate, Kenpo, Wushu and Kickboxing, among other contact disciplines.
The above was confirmed by Sensei Guillermo Pérez Martínez, director of the organizing committee, who reported that the competition modalities will be Point and Continuous Fighting, traditional and contemporary bare-handed forms, with weapons and musicals, breaks and Kickboxing on tatami.
Likewise, he mentioned that the categories will be open to child, youth, adult and master practitioners, both in the women’s and men’s branches.
He reported that the final Official Call will be announced in the coming days, once all the modalities of official competitions that will be part of the “Gold Star” 2023 National Open Martial Arts Tournament are determined.
Sensei Guillermo Pérez Martínez confirmed that the headquarters of this event attended by organizations from the central zone of the country will take place at the Lázaro Cárdenas Gym, located on Tierra Blanca street, number 423-A, Colonia Bellavista, Salamanca, Gto.
Likewise, he added that it is expected that, thanks to the prestige of this event, in the coming days companies and businesses in the region will become official sponsors.
