burst in a residential building from the Belgian city of Hoboken, very close to Antwerp.

Diplomatic sources have confirmed that it is a Spaniard of Moroccan origin and a minor born in Ceuta and of Moroccan parents, although between these two victims there is no family connection.

The consulate has been in contact with the families to inform them of the event and offer any necessary assistance, according to the aforementioned sources.

The explosion took place last Thursday in Hoboken and destroyed the upper part of the building, causing injuries to six other people, three seriously and three slightly.

Belgian authorities are investigating the causes of the explosion and are considering the possibility that it was due to a gas leak.
