This year the group will go from having 5 to 7 operational routes in the region.

With a view to reinforcing the connectivity of the Los Lagos Region during the winter season, Latam Airlines Group announced the increase of its offer by 35%, making a total of 492 flights available to passengers to travel during the month of July .

Today, the group has flights from three airports in the region and has five operational routes: from Puerto Montt to Santiago, Balmaceda and Punta Arenas; and from Chiloé and Osorno to Santiago, respectively.

Additionally, on July 1, the new direct route between Puerto Montt and Concepción will launch, with a daily flight, while on July 3, the direct route Puerto Montt – Puerto Natales will begin operating, which will have three frequencies a week. With seven operational routes, Latam plans to transport more than 150,000 people to and from the region in the season.

“This increase in supply on routes from Puerto Montt, Chiloé and Osorno is in line with the greater internal mobility that we expect for the season. If we compare with the same period in 2023, we will add more than 52 thousand seats, which favors the connectivity of our passengers and also benefits regional tourism,” said María Paz Villasante, LATAM Airlines Group Commercial Strategy Manager.

Within Chile, the favorite destinations are Calama (through San Pedro), Iquique and Antofagasta in the north, while in the south, the most popular destinations are Concepción, Temuco and Puerto Montt.

By connecting in Santiago, passengers can access international destinations, where Lima, Miami and Brazilian cities such as Rio, Florianópolis and the recently inaugurated direct route to Brasilia are among the favorites.

Latam Airlines Group plans to transport more than 1.4 million people within Chile and abroad. Today, the group has a wide network of 148 destinations in 26 countries and four continents: America, Europe, Africa and Oceania.
