Within the framework of Father’s Day, the president of the republic, Dina Boluarte, sent an affectionate greeting to the fathers of Peru, who celebrate their day on the third Sunday in June.

“With joy and emotion we celebrate Father’s Day today, a special date on which we pay tribute to the man who guides us with love and discipline to be good women and men. My hug to every father on his day,” said Boluarte.

Through a short video, the president said today, Sunday, June 16, those parents who, with their witticisms and love, always bring a smile to their family members are celebrated.

“Being a father is not easy, it requires dedication, time and effort. From our government, receive the hug and recognition. “You parents play a key role within your homes and in our beloved homeland,” he noted.

Likewise, the head of state declared that Peruvian parents are the true pillars in the lives of their children so that they can be good citizens in the future.

“On this special day we pay tribute not only to the biological parents, but also to all those who fulfill that role in society: the grandfather, the uncle, the brother, the mother who is a mother and father too,” he explained.

“Likewise, we salute the father who works far from the family, whether in the province or abroad, physically far away, yes, but always close in the heart and attentive to the family,” he added.

Along the same lines, President Dina Boluarte said that all parents contribute invaluablely to the training, education and development of new generations. “It is impossible not to remember today also those parents who are no longer with us and raise a prayer for them.”

“On this Father’s Day I want to tell you that it is full of love, gratitude and peace. I also take advantage of this opportunity to reaffirm my commitment to every boy and girl in Peru, that we will always protect them from any type of violence,” he stated.

Finally, the president said: “Dear Peruvian parents, continue to be an example for your children and let us continue working together towards the goal of forging a better country for everyone. Have a happy Father’s Day. God bless you”
