Habemus Nintendo Direct! Finally we can say that The date of the next Nintendo broadcast has already been confirmed. Of course, it was assured by the Japanese company that one would take place this month, only the specific date was not yet known. Now we know that It will be next June 18, but what games could they announce? Expectations are high, but I think we should lower them a little. In this article I will review possible Nintendo announcements and the little that has been officially confirmed so far.

The only thing confirmed by Nintendo, in addition to the date and the 40-minute duration, are two things:
- Nintendo Switch 2: have confirmed that They will not say any information about the successor to the Nintendo Switch.
- 2nd half of 2024: have revealed that They will focus on games coming out during the second half of 2024. This does not mean that there will not be games from 2025 onwards, but that the vast majority are titles that will come out this year.
Metroid Prime 4
Announced in 2017 and restarted in 2019. That is, it was restarted ago five years at least, so more than enough time has passed for them to announce something. If they haven’t done it already, it’s because they want to reserve it now for the launch of Switch 2 or why this Nintendo Direct is the one since the life cycle of the current Switch is soon ending.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
It’s not that I think this game won’t make a comeback soon, but that I expect it more from an Xbox event taking into account that it will be available day 1 on Xbox Game Pass. So I highly doubt it will appear here, although it enters many ballots.
The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom DLC
I see it practically impossible because The game director himself assured that there was no DLC on the way. Even so, I don’t rule it out 100% because It would not be the first time that developers deny rumors that are true.
The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker for Switch
This is one of the long-rumored ports for Nintendo Switch. The reason why I think more remasters coming this year It’s because a large part of the great games that are being made by Nintendo now will be for Switch 2, so They will fill in between now and the launch of the new console with ports. And I see almost certainly that we will see not only this one, but more ports of “old” Nintendo consoles.
New Mario 3D
It is very unlikely for the simple fact that the last main installment of the saga is still very recent, which is Super Mario Bros. Wonder. What would not surprise me at all is that announce some kind of new spin-off or, again, a port of some game from years ago.
For now There have been no rumors about which games could appear, so making these predictions has been somewhat difficult. And it is that With complete certainty we will have some surprise for June 18, something that very few of us expect. But taking into account that almost everything AAA they are doing will already go to Switch 2, I imagine few important announcements in the 40 minutes of broadcast.
