MEXICO CITY (apro).- Barcelona B, led by Rafael Márquez, tied Córdoba 1-1 at the last minute in the first leg final of promotion to the Second Division of Spain. The second leg will be played next Sunday, June 23.

The Barça team started losing the game very early, as Alberto Toril’s goal came just in the eighth minute. The goal occurred in a controversial action due to a possible previous foul, however, the referee did not signal anything, the forward finished with a header in the area and opened the scoring.

Already in the second half, the team led by Rafa Márquez turned to the attack and got their reward in the 88th minute. After Dani Rodríguez dribbled past the Córdoba defense, the culé youth player sent a low cross into the area that he took advantage of perfectly. Pocho Román to make the score 1-1.

With this result, everything will be defined in the second leg final that will be played on Sunday the 23rd at 12:00 p.m., at the Nuevo El Arcángel Municipal stadium, Córdoba’s home field. If Barça Atlètic wants to be promoted they will have to win in Córdoba since a draw would favor the Andalusian team due to its better classification in the regular tournament.
