Nintendo today issued a new Direct focused on the games coming to Nintendo Switch during the second half of 2024.
There has been room for everything: surprises, returning classics, new titles that look good…
Among the most notable titles have been a new Mario & Luigi, a Zelda starring (this time!) by Princess Zelda and, finally, gameplay of Metroid Prime 4.

Mario & Luigi: Brotherly Connection

The Direct has begun with a surprise and a title that had not been announced: a new installment of the popular Mario & Luigi saga, the first in nine years. It will have a pretty nice cel shading aesthetic and will go on sale on November 7. Here you can read the full news.
Nintendo World Championships
As we already knew, on July 8 this interesting compilation, heir to the NES Remix, will be published on Switch, in which we will face various challenges and competitions set in NES classics.
Fairy Tail 2
A new Gust game (Atelier series) based on the manga by Hiro Mashima, specifically in its final stretch. It will be released during the winter.
Fantasian Neo Dimension
The JRPG by Hironobu Sakaguchi and Nobuo Uematsu, two of the most recognizable names in Final Fantasy, was until now exclusive to Apple Arcade. However, this interesting project will arrive in winter on Nintendo Switch in addition to PC and other consoles. Here you can read the full news.
Nintendo Switch Sports Update
Nintendo’s collection of sports games for Switch will add basketball this summer. It will also do so in the form of a free update, so it will not cost current users anything.
MIO Memories in Orbit
A new metroidvania developed by the creators of Shady Part of Me that will arrive on PC and consoles in 2025.
Disney Illusion Island
The 2D platformer with Disney characters receives a free update today called Mystery in Monoth that proposes us to solve a mystery.
Hello Kitty Island Adventure
Until now exclusive to Apple Arcade, this open-world game featuring popular Sanrio characters will be a temporary Switch exclusive on consoles when it launches in 2025.
Looney Tunes: Wacky World of Sports
Looney Tunes returns to consoles with a sports game that allows us to play basketball, soccer, golf and tennis cooperatively for up to 4 players.
Among Us update
The social deduction game has received a new update with more classes and is available today.
Pharmacy
The Marvelous game that mixes farm management and role-playing will finally be released on November 1st.
Donkey Kong Country Returns HD
A high definition version of one of the best Nintendo Wii platform games. It will include eighty levels, among which are also those from the Nintendo 3DS version, it will have cooperative and will go on sale on January 16, 2025. Here you can read the full news.

Dragon Quest III HD-2D
On November 14, 2024, a remake of one of the most beloved installments of the popular Dragon Quest JRGP saga will be published, with the HD-2D graphic style that we saw, for example, in the remake of Live a Live. Here you can read the full news.
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D
Erdrick’s saga will also be completed next year with Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake, which will apply the same treatment to the first two installments. The order of publication may seem strange, but Yūji Horii, its designer, has clarified that chronologically the third installment is the first game that we should play, and then 1 and 2. Funko Fusion
The action game based on Funko dolls will be published on September 13, with sixty characters and settings from twenty Universal films and series, including Back to the Future, Jurassic World, Diabolic Doll or Battlestar Galactica.
Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD
A little gameplay of the high definition remastering for Switch of Luigi’s Mansion 2 for 3DS. It goes on sale in no time, on June 27.
The New Denpa Men
This particular free-to-play RPG will be launched next July and offers us to live adventures beyond the console.
Metal Slug Attack Reloaded
While we wait for Metal Slug Tactics, SNK has launched today a tower defense set in the same universe.
Darkest Dungeon II
After leaving early access on PC, next July 15 we will be able to play the sequel to the roguelike Darkest Dungeon on Switch.
New classics on Nintendo Switch Online
The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past – Four Swords Adventures and Metroid Zero Mission, for Game Boy Advance, will be added to the service today. There will also be two Nintendo 64 games within a new selection of more adult titles: Turok: Dinosaur Hunter and the legendary Perfect Dark, the latter also including online multiplayer.
Phantom Brave: The Lost Hero
NIS, creators of Disgaea, have recovered Phantom Brave with a new installment that brings the RPG from more than 20 years ago to the present. Here you can read the full news.
Marvel vs Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics
Another compilation of classic Capcom arcade games, with seven titles: Marvel vs. Capcom, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men: Children of the Atom, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter and The Punisher. Super Mario Party Jamboree
Nintendo has defined this new installment as “the biggest Mario Party to date.” It will have more than 110 minigames, new boards and two recovered from Mario Party and Mario Party 2 and several new modes, including one based on Mario Kart. The launch is scheduled for October 17.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom
The big surprise of this Direct: a Zelda starring Zelda. On September 26, at the turn of summer, an adventure will be published that recovers the aesthetics of the Link’s Awakening remake and in which the princess will use a power to clone enemies and objects to overcome puzzles and combats. Just Dance 2025 Edition
The new installment of one of Ubisoft’s most popular franchises could not be missing. This year the French company’s dance game will include forty songs, with artists such as Ariana Grande, Lady Gaga, Green Day or Sia.
LEGO Horizon Adventures
The Horizon spin-off with LEGO was presented at the last Summer Game Fest. Nintendo has shown it again, confirming its launch on its hybrid console this winter.
