Moscow, June 28 (Sputnik).- Russia will not evaluate the presidential debate between US President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump (2017-2021), since it considers it an internal matter of the country, declared the Kremlin spokesman , Dmitri Peskov.
«We are not going to evaluate this debate, it is the United States electoral campaign and its internal matter. “We have never interfered in the American electoral race,” Peskov told reporters.
However, he continued, the Kremlin was informed about the first debate and “will study all the statements” made by Biden and Trump during it.
The spokesperson added that the US presidential debate is not on the agenda of Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
«We have a lot of issues that are really important to our country and are relevant to us, these are the issues that our president deals with. “The US debates are not a priority issue in any way,” he said.
