Ubisoft to announce Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition at Limited Run Direct

Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary Edition has not been in the Nintendo Direct as many expected, but it will be in the Limited Run Showcase this Thursday.

The Nintendo Direct has been full of announcements from both Nintendo itself and third parties (especially Square Enix with Dragon Quest and Fantasian), but one game that curiously has not been released was Beyond Good & Evil: Anniversary Edition, a title that seems like imminent after their trophies were leaked.

But Ubisoft He saved it for another Direct, the one from Limited Run Gameswhich after all the storm of the Summer Game Fest, is going to make its own presentation with game announcements in physical format, and also digital that they remaster themselves with their Carbon Engine.

And now also, with guests like Ubisoft, who on Twitter invite us to Thursday June 20th for more news about Beyond Good & Evil – 20th Anniversary Edition. The showcase will be at 20:00 CEST, Spanish peninsular time.

Ubisoft will re-announce Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary this Thursday

Ubisoft accidentally released a 20th Anniversary version, remastered (not remake) in November 2023, but then withdrew it: it was not the time.

Since then, it’s been strange that they didn’t mention that incident again, and even stranger when the Ubisoft Forward passed by without news of the game.

But it sounds like Limited Run Games has some things in store for Beyond Good & Evil fans. So, in addition to reconfirm this remaster of the 2003 game (it should be the 21st anniversary, but oh well) we hope for a special edition like Limited Run does.

It is taken for granted that Beyond Good & Evil 20th Anniversary will be released on all platforms (PS4, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC). A leak from last week pointed to a “shadow drop” after the Direct, which may be two days later…

This release will allow more people to learn about Beyond Good & Evil, an adventure game very different from the open-worlds that Ubisoft usually releases today, while Beyond Good & Evil 2 is still in development, although who knows if it will be similar to what seen years ago…
