Puerto Rican urban singer Don Omar, 46, revealed this Monday that he has cancer and expressed confidence in his speedy recovery. “Today yes, but tomorrow I won’t have cancer. Good intentions are well received. See you soon,” the artist wrote on his official Instagram account.

In the published image, Don Omar shows his hand with a closed fist and, on his wrist, a bracelet is tied that identifies the admission to a hospital in the Orlando Health network.

The author of global hits such as ‘Dale Don dale’ and Danza kuduro’ did not offer details of the type of cancer he suffers from or the treatment he is receiving. His Instagram account, on which he has 11.6 million followers, was filled with messages of support and good wishes for his recovery.

This Tuesday, the artist uploaded a post to his Instagram again with good news for his followers: “Today I woke up cancer-free and grateful. Thank you for your good wishes, prayers and thousands of messages. My operation was a success and now I have to recover.”
