China has sent eleven aircraft and eight warships to the Taiwan Strait in the last 24 hours. In response to Lai’s inauguration speech on May 20, the Chinese Communist Party organized two days of military exercises around the island on May 23 and 24, calling them “punishment” for “secessionists” and a warning. for “external forces” that interfere with the file. This is above all the United States, which after Lai took office sent two delegations to Taiwan to renew support for the new administration in the context of tensions with Beijing. China also protested the congratulations extended by the Secretary of State.
