Two NASA astronauts fear they will not be able to return to Earth due to technical failures on the Starliner

The manned capsule Starliner suffers from technical failures that postpone the return of two NASA astronauts to Earth. The spacecraft transported Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore to the International Space Station last June 6. However, his return to our planet experienced a series of problems, so it was decided to delay 20 days. Helium leaks and propellants that go out are some of the issues that cast doubt on his return.

Initially, the NASA project involved the astronauts staying for a week, from where they made live transmissions to show how the ship docked with the EInternational Space Stationand what were the jobs they did.

However, recently NASA announced that astronauts Suni Williams as Butch Wilmore, will not return to Earth before June 26, due to a series of problems on the ship. This is in addition to the delay that Boeing had with Starliner for years and the inconveniences that led to its launch being postponed at least six times.

According to statements by Steve Stich, manager of the NASA Commercial Crew Programthey do not believe that Starliner will not be able to bring back the astronauts, although “we really want to work with the rest of the data” available. Among the main drawbacks they encountered were helium leaks and the shutdown of the thrusters.
