Mari Boya’s first victory in Formula 3 in Montmeló

José María Navalón Boya (20), better known as Mari Boya, is already a prophet in his land. The driver from Les, a small town in the Aran Valley, has achieved his first victory in Formula 3 in his home race, the Spanish GP Sprint, at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.

The Campos Racing driver beat Alexander Dunne by 0.4s and his teammate Oliver Goethe by 0.8s, after starting third from the reverse grid.

With this first victory in Formula 3 (10 points in the short race), Mari Boya climbs to 8th place in the championship which, together with Formula 2, serves as a training prelude to F-1.

Mari Boya, who started in motorsports in karting in 2015 (he was three-time champion of Spain, twice as a cadet, 2015-16, and once as a junior, 2018), has been climbing and growing year after year with notable results. He jumped to single-seaters in 2020, in the Spanish F4, in which he was runner-up (3 wins) in 2020 and later runner-up in Eurocup-3 in 2023 (5 wins).
