Carlos Sainz, sixth on the grid and with a positive attitude for the Spanish GP

• Carlos Sainz will start sixth in the Spanish GP after a qualifying session marked by a notable drop in track temperature, which has led to much faster times than in training.
• The Ferrari driver has passed both Q1 (1’12”403) and Q2 (1’11”874) with a single set of soft tires in each test, which has allowed him to face Q3 with two new sets at its disposition.
• In Q3, however, other teams have had a little extra performance and that has separated the Spanish driver from the fight for Pole Position. The equality has been so extreme that 35 thousandths of a second would have been enough for him to be third.
• Carlos does not give up anything on the eve of his home Grand Prix and is confident in his options. To squeeze them out he will have the support of the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya crowd, which once again has responded en masse.
