With only two episodes left (and without giving away spoilers for the episodes just aired this week), MBC’s “Bitter Sweet Hell” has shared three things to look forward to that promise a whirlwind of turmoil and chaos!
“Bitter Sweet Hell” is a black comedy-thriller starring Kim Hee Sun as Noh Young Won, the best family psychiatrist in all of Korea. When an anonymous blackmailer jeopardizes her career and her family, Noh Young Won teams up with her mother-in-law Hong Sa Gang (Lee Hye Young), a mystery novelist, to protect her family.
1. Tense meeting between the four people
In the last few episodes, Noh Young Won was faced with the shocking news that So Yi (Han Sung Min) was pregnant with Choi Do Hyun (Jaechan). After thinking carefully, she decided to support her son. However, in contrast to this decision, the newly released stills reveal an icy atmosphere as Noh Young Won, Noh Young Min (Chansung), Choi Do Hyun, and So Yi look at each other with dissatisfied expressions. Noh Young Won looks stern with her arms crossed, while Choi Do Hyun seems conflicted. Tensions escalate further as Noh Young Min looks bewildered and So Yi wears a disgruntled expression.
2. Hong Sa Gang and Lee Se Na’s confrontation
In the previous episode, it was revealed that Choi Jae Jin (Kim Nam Hee) is not Hong Sa Gang’s biological son, but rather a child born between her husband Choi Go Myeon (Kwon Hae Hyo) and her student. Hong Sa Gang, who has strong maternal devotion, confronts Lee Se Na (Yeonwoo), who made her son doubt her own sanity and ruined her family. The newly released stills show Hong Sa Gang fiercely confronting Lee Se Na, raising viewers’ curiosity about what kind of conversation they will have.
3. Physical fight between Choi Jae Jin and Moon Tae Oh
Other images show Choi Jae Jin and Moon Tae Oh (Jung Gun Joo) engaged in a physical confrontation. After returning home from a fabricated suicide attempt, Choi Jae Jin’s awkward encounter with Moon Tae Oh hinted at a palpable change in the dynamics of their relationship. In the new stills, tensions rise as Choi Jae Jin grabs Moon Tae Oh by the neck in anger, pushing him away while Moon Tae Oh maintains her mocking smile, increasing the dangerous atmosphere between them.
