The victims were identified as Diego Villafañe, 61, Giselle Segonds, 43, who was hospitalized for a few hours at the Posadas Hospital, and their son, Eduardo, 11 years old. Deep regret in the community of Coronel Suárez where they were from. Holiday and mourning were declared.
THE ACCIDENT
Two of the three people traveling in a Honda car died in the city of Saladillo, after colliding head-on with a Mercedes Benz truck transporting pigs, at the intersection of National Route 205 and Sanguinetti Avenue.
The incident occurred in front of the Lodemiguel grill, for reasons that are being established.
The car, which was heading in the Cazón/Saladillo direction, became embedded under the front axle of the truck that was traveling in the opposite direction, and Diego Villafañe, 61, and little Eduardo, 11, lost their lives instantly. while the woman, identified as Cisel Segonds, was urgently referred to the Dr. Posadas Hospital. All from the city of Coronel Suárez.
On board the truck, belonging to the company Transporte Oeste Arenoso SRL, was Julio Alvarez, a native of Urdampilleta, who was uninjured.
A team of Saladillo Volunteer Firefighters, police and Route 205 personnel, and the UDEM company, emergency services, attended the scene.
