The Christian calendar celebrates today, June 29, the Saint of Saint Paul the Apostle, among others.

He was known as the apostle of the Gentiles. He had a solid theological, philosophical, legal, commercial and linguistic background. He also spoke several languages (Greek, Latin, Hebrew and Aramaic). He took part in the first persecutions against Christians. Shortly after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, he converted to the new faith, which was a heretical sect of Judaism. From that moment on, Saint Paul was the one who spread Christianity, even beyond the Jewish people; he travelled as a missionary through different countries such as Greece, Asia Minor, Syria and Palestine. In addition, he wrote letters (the encyclicals) to peoples in the Mediterranean area. He was able to adapt the message of Jesus to the Hellenistic culture prevailing in the Mediterranean world in his writings, thus facilitating its extension outside the Hebrew cultural sphere where he was born. Such writings constitute one of the first interpretations of Jesus.
