The former candidate for the Regional Government of Puno and leader of the Puno Anti-Corruption Front, Fernando Salas Tapia, declared himself a pre-candidate for the 2026 presidential elections for the political party Perú Te Quiero. However, he has not yet specified his registration before the National Election Jury.

Fernando Tapia pointed out that, on June 21, he submitted his registration request to the National Elections Jury (JNJ) to participate in the 2026 presidential elections. In addition, he reported that, at the national level, he has 63 provincial committees.

The political party Perú Te Quiero defines itself with a nationalist and humanistic line. “I am not from the right, I am not from the left or the center,” he emphasized. Its logo is an “S”, which would represent Safety and Health. However, they still do not have pre-candidates for the regional elections that will take place in 2025.

One of Fernando Tapia’s proposals, if he were president, is to change the civil code so that the crime of corruption is considered treason and terrorism. In addition, he pointed out that he would create a Registry Office of Corrupts and Those Investigated for Corruption, for whom a red DNI would be implemented.

In addition, he indicated that he would carry out a comprehensive reform in the Education sector and regional curricular change throughout Peru. “We could not give the citizens of Arequipa the same education as the citizens of Loreto, talking to a Lima native about the Andean worldview, about Pachamama, is talking to them about madness,” he added. Regarding the issue of citizen security, he assured that the criminals would be in the Challapalca prison within 72 hours.
