Last weekend it took place in the Cavancha Arena of Iquique the Continental Cupa tournament that saw the classification of Chili to the Olympic Games 2024 of Paris in doubles beach volleyball.
The realization of the Continental Cup left very good comments, not only from Jorge Pinopresident of the Chile Volleyball Federationbut also, on the part Marco Tullio Teixeirapresident of the South American Volleyball Confederationgiven the benefits that Cavancha and Iquique They offer for practicing sand sports.
This important international tournament aroused not only the interest of the Iquique community, but also gave rise to numerous community, regional and government authorities to meet in Cavancha Beach to witness the qualifying competition.
One of the authorities who came to witness the Continental Cup was Antonia Illanes, Undersecretary of Sportswho took time to talk exclusively with Vilas Radio on sports themes, especially aimed at empowering Iquique and the Cavancha Arena for the organization of future sporting events in the different disciplines played on the beach, both nationally and internationally.

1.- What did you think of Chile’s qualification for the Olympic Games in beach volleyball here in Iquique?
