MEXICO CITY (apro).- President Andrés Manuel López Obrador spoke about the attempted coup d’état that occurred yesterday afternoon in Bolivia, “there is a lot of political instability, but fortunately the Bolivian government of Luis Arce responded very well.”

He highlighted the response of the people of Bolivia “defending democracy, the people rejecting the military coup” and of the international community that immediately condemned the attempted coup d’état which was “fortunately failed” and democracy and legality were restored.

He added that events like these affect countries greatly, because “having uncertainty affects the economy of the people” and he was happy that this coup attempt “did not prosper.”

Leaders of Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe and leaders of international organizations expressed their rejection of the attempted “coup d’état” denounced in Bolivia. On a day of high tension due to the invasion of Army units at the Government headquarters, President Luis Arce, who asked the population to mobilize in favor of democracy, changed the military leadership and called on the military to respect the Constitution .

The international community unanimously rejected the attempted coup that took place in Bolivia and closed ranks with the president of the Andean nation, Luis Arce, who denounced “irregular movements” by some Army units, led by its commander general, Juan José Zúñiga. , who then broke into the government headquarters in La Paz.
