The Government of the Nation decided again to postpone the increases in electricity and gas rates and fuels that were scheduled for July. The decision has to do with guaranteeing the disinflation path.

While they finish defining a new monthly indexation mechanism for bills, the Minister of Economy Luis Caputo decided to postpone the increases in service rates again so as not to add pressure to inflation.

These increases were intended to improve the margins of companies that provide regulated public services for the transportation and distribution of electricity and natural gas, and would have had a 2-3% impact on the bills of households, businesses and industries.
