The President of Peru, Dina Boluarte, enacted Law 32002, which authorizes in an extraordinary and optional manner the disbursement of up to 4 UIT of the funds accumulated to date by the AFPs. To do so, the Superintendency of Banking, Insurance and AFP had a deadline to publish the official schedule of how the access to the money of the affiliates of the different Pension Fund Administrators would be and thus begin the process for the deposit of 20,600 soles. The extraordinary withdrawal law of the AFPs says: “The purpose of this law is to authorize in an extraordinary and optional manner to all members of the Private Pension Fund Administration System, without any exception, the withdrawal of funds accumulated in their individual capitalization accounts, up to the amount of four tax units (UIT)”.

We must remember that the rule, approved in the plenary session of the Congress of the Republic on April 11, was published in the bulletin of Legal Norms of the Official Gazette El Peruano, and it is given one day after the Minister of Economy, José Arista, announced it in a press conference of the PCM, that the Government decided not to observe it.

Last Monday, May 20, the SBS activated the official link and a platform to start the application process in which affiliates can make their AFP withdrawal, which allows them to request up to 4 UIT. Let us not forget that, after the approval of the Peruvian Government, the law specifies that the SBS will determine, through regulations, the operating procedure for withdrawal within a period that will not exceed fifteen calendar days from the entry into force of the law ( April 18), under the responsibility of its owner.

On Friday, May 3, the SBS shared through various media the official schedule to request the withdrawal of up to 4 UIT or S/20,600 soles from pension funds. As with previous withdrawals, requests must be submitted on dates determined by the number that ends in each person’s ID. Likewise, there are 3 days in which each group can start their request and a fourth period that is free.

If your ID number ends in 1, you can register your application on May 20, 21, and June 18.

If your DNI ends in 2, you can register your request on May 22 and 23, and June 19.

If your DNI ends in 3, you can register your application on May 24 and 27, and June 20.

If your ID ends in 4, you can register your application on May 28 and 29, and June 21.

If your DNI ends in 5, you can register your request on May 30 and 31, and June 24.

If your ID ends in 6, you can register your application on June 3, 4 and June 25.

If your ID ends in 7, you can register your application on June 5, 6, and June 26.

If your ID ends in 8, you can register your application on June 10, 11, 12, and June 27.

If your ID ends in 9, you can register your application on June 12 and 13, and June 28.

If your DNI ends in 0, letter or other, you can register your request on June 14 and 17, and July 1.

Between July 2 and August 17, submit your application in no particular order.

  2. Click on “I want to withdraw”.
  3. After that, the AFP Retirement 2024 regulations will open, and when you finish reading it you must click on “start my application.”
  4. Next, you must select the type of document depending on your case: DNI, immigration card, military and police card, adolescent license, passport, temporary residence permit, foreign relations identity card, temporary residence permit card, identification card. foreigner’s identity or refugee applicant card.
  5. Enter your ID number and the verification digit.
  6. Enter your date of birth
  7. Click on “I am not a robot”, then “check” (here you will see if you are eligible to withdraw your money on this date).
  8. If you are on the corresponding date, enter the password you use to access your AFP website. Then, click on “Validate” and, after confirming that you have access to the withdrawal, press the “Register your request” button.
  9. The amount available for withdrawal will then appear, so you must answer the question: “How much do you want to withdraw from your fund?”
  10. It will ask you if you want to transfer your fund to an account at your bank or to a “freely available” AFP account. After selection, you must click “Continue”.
  11. You will need to choose the destination of the withdrawal (payment at a financial institution in Peru or payment at a bank abroad). In addition, you will need to add the details of your place of residence (department, province, district and address).
  12. When entering payment details at the financial institution, you must choose between two options: “Deposit into account” or “I don’t have an account.” If your case is the first, select the bank of your preference and enter the account number (without the interbank code).
  13. Finally, indicate your contact information (Email and current cell phone number)
  14. If you have filled out all the details correctly, you will receive the message: “Succeeded! We have created your request. Save the number to follow up on it whenever you want!”

The withdrawal of funds would be made in four parts, each of up to one UIT (S/5,150).

First part: up to one UIT (S/5,150) which would be delivered 30 days after the application is submitted and approved. For those who start their process on May 20, the first payment could arrive on June 14.

Second part: up to one UIT (S/5,150) 30 days after the first delivery of money is made.

Third part: up to one UIT (S/5,150) 30 days after the second delivery.

Fourth part: up to one UIT (S/5,150) 30 days after the third delivery.

Each AFP nationwide has a complete record of all contributions, which can be viewed on the website or application of the entities, be it AFP Integra, Prima, Habitat and Profuturo. Profutur AFP: If you are an affiliate of this AFP you can enter https://enlinea.profuturo.com.pe/zonaprivada/login to see your account statement.

As can be verified on some platforms, to make a query regarding which AFP one belongs to, this must be done as follows:

  • Go to the “Registration” option of SBS Online Services.
  • Read the conditions of use. If you agree with these, declare it and click “Next”.
  • You will be asked for your ID number and an email. We recommend that you have your identification document on hand so that you can complete your registration successfully.
  • Once you have registered, choose the “Pension Status Report” option and that’s it. This way you will know which AFP you are in.
  • If you are a foreigner, click on the corresponding option that will appear in point 3.
