Picún Leufú has more natural gas connections

The work to reinforce 1,200 meters of pipes was inaugurated, which will benefit 120 families.

In order to provide a higher quality of life to the inhabitants of Picún Leufú, after two months of work, the gas reinforcement work for the town was inaugurated yesterday. It consists of 1,200 meters of 180-millimeter polyethylene pipes, located on provincial route No. 17, which will allow 120 families to connect to the natural gas service. The work had a contribution from IJAN of 8 million pesos.

In this regard, the provincial Minister of Infrastructure, Rubén Etcheverry, explained that “this work is beginning to reduce the paradox of Neuquén, which is the gas capital and many do not have it” and added that “we have made an effort from the province so that gas reaches every corner of the people of Neuquén, particularly those from Picun.”

Meanwhile, Mayor Perla Díaz stated that “it is a lung to the main pipe, we know that we are going to have the possibility of 120 families being able to connect to everything that is the town’s gas system, 120 families that already They live in the area. “There are many people who still do not have the service.”

In addition, Díaz referred to other works in the town, such as those related to irrigation. “We have an irrigation consortium and we have the irrigation commission. So, we have also been working together, also with Production people. The sanitation of the La Picacita canal has already begun,” he explained. And he stated that “the province was able to send a machine that is essential for that work and I know that they are carrying out all that cleaning on the canal.”

It is a motor grader and a mini-loader with a backhoe that was jointly financed by the province and the municipality.

The opening ceremony was also attended by the Director of Operations of Camuzzi, Mauricio Cordiviola, and the delegate of the Limay Medio region, Sergio Epullan.
