Last night we had the opportunity to witness a band that has achieved exponential growth over the years, such as Rawayana. The band from Caracas, Venezuela, performed in our country for the eighth time, this Thursday June 27 at the Movistar Arenaafter his last step through the Caupolican Theater where they conquered more than 4 thousand people on that occasion in a demonstration that the event generated by this group is not a coincidence, but rather a causality of all the years of hard and good work.
The group formed by Alberto Beto Montenegro, Antonio Tony Casas, Andrés Story and Alejandro Abeijon He arrived at the venue next to Parque O’Higgins to show part of his powerful live show presenting the best of his fruitful record label, which already has them elevated with five studio albums: License to be free (2011), Rawayanaland (2013), Trippy Caribbean (2016), When Headaches Predominate (2021), and Who Brings The Bugles? (2023).
The Venezuelans arrived this Thursday after the successful passages through Miami, Puerto Rico, Madrid, London, Paris, Los Angeles and Buenos Aires and the expectation that was felt in the sector was total for being able to experience the deep connection that the group manages to establish with his audience, who made themselves felt intensely with the shouting and applause that flooded the venue once Rawayana appears on the stage to start with “Nothing bad”a song that shows us from the beginning all the joy and rhythm that it possesses, its latest album and responsible for this tour Who Brings the Bugles?.
Music and good vibes continue to be present in a day that has just begun and that continues with a lot of life with songs “Tucacas”, “Revenge I” and “Revenge II” where the versatility of the sounds of this band is demonstrated, mixing reggae, ska, funk and more in a sonic juice that they call trippy pop. Movistar Arena It’s all dancing and fun, in instances where we can see all those present unleashed with their arms raised, thanks to the power that their voices give to the songs like “Honey”, “Holiday”, “Baby” and “Crazy Hour” which are chanted at the top of their lungs and which manage to bring out more than just smiles, but also all the flavor that is demonstrated in the DNA of the people of Tequeña, who must generate an emotional connection with those present, since they remember those years when they saw them, in their distant Venezuela, in small bars and now they appreciate them on this great stage.
