During the last hours, the Isapre Colmena sent a statement to its members stating that They detected that they were victims of a cyber attackwith effects on the availability of services both online and in its physical branches.
“In order to keep you always informed, we inform you that we have detected the occurrence of a security incident in a part of our technological platforms. This event is affecting the availability of some of our services, such as Issuance of electronic bonds, website, branches and Call Center“says the brief email.
When trying to access the official Colmena website, it takes longer to load and, after a few seconds, it displays a error signal connecting to server.
Cyberattack reported on Isapre Colmena: affects branch and internet services
There are comments on social media indicating that the Isapre branches would not be providing service due to the computer incident.
“The last straw, Isapre Colmena without a system,” says a tweet on X, where a sign can be seen that says “we are temporarily without a system. Please excuse the inconvenience.”
“Does anyone know what’s happening with @IsapreColmena? Page down more than 1 day ago. Now I’m at Clínica Alemana and they tell me that Colmena doesn’t have a system! “I call Colmena’s phone number and no one answers,” quotes another tweet.
From Colmena they added in their message to affiliates that “immediate measures” were implemented to manage the cybersecurity incident, in order to reestablish the service as soon as possible.
“We regret any inconvenience this situation may cause and we will keep you informed of the progress in enabling services,” the statement concluded without giving further details.
