The British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, organised by Cowdray Park Polo Club, located in Midhurst, West Sussex, England, continued with its intense activity on Friday, June 28with two matches, which were won by Green Gates and Valhalla, over La Dolfina Murus Sanctus and Desert Palm, respectively.
The day would begin with the debut of Green Gates against La Dolfina Murus Sanctus, who had already lost in their first match. The match had as a star figure Francisco Elizalde who scored 9 goals, collaborating in a great way for his team to achieve a 12-10 victory. For its part, the Argentine-French team is still unable to win in this Gold Cup.
The closing of the afternoon would be given in the duel between Desert Palmwho had just lost to Talandracas, and Valhallawho made their absolute debut in this tournament. In the end, it was the debuting team that ended up winning by the minimum difference and thus started on the right foot in this tournament.
