Guillermo Moreno brought together Peronism for a project “to surpass Javier Milei”

Representatives of different sectors of Peronism met this Thursday to develop and propose an economic program “superior to Javier Milei”with a view to the 2027 presidential elections.

The meeting took place at the Barolo Palace, in the City of Buenos Aires, based on a call made by Guillermo Morenoformer Secretary of Commerce during the administrations of Néstor Kirchner and Cristina Fernández.

In addition to the host, there were economists from various Peronist groups, such as Pablo Challú, who was Secretary of Commerce during Roberto Lavagna’s administration at the Ministry of Economy, and as representatives of Axel Kicillof and Sergio Massa, Roberto Feletti and Eduardo Setti, respectively.

Also delegates from the General Confederation of Labor (CGT) and La Cámpora, as well as Juan Manuel Pichetto, former minister of production of Río Negro and son of the national deputy and head of the We Make Federal Coalition bloc, Miguel Ángel Pichetto.

What was discussed at the Peronist summit meeting

The meeting lasted almost two hours and Moreno presented to his guests the document titled “Economic unity, political diversity”, whose main objective is to “reindustrialize Argentina” during the post-Milei era which, according to attendees, will begin in 2027.

“The only governor invited was Kicillof because he has an economic thought that is public and well-known, and he is also considering a political construction. Therefore, he is the only one who was summoned,” Moreno explained at the end of the meeting.

“Everyone in politics will walk in parallel. The focal point will be the economic,” said the former Secretary of Commerce regarding a possible unity of Peronism, which, as a whole, “proposed the reindustrialization of Argentina, so I cannot be surprised that we agree on this objective,” he concluded.
