The Ticos’ own coach surprised everyone with a revelation he made in the middle of the press conference before facing the match against Colombia.
Regarding a question about his player, the coach wanted to go in another direction and gave the defender a rather high status.

Alfaro confesses that Juan Pablo Vargas looks like the best in the world
In the middle of a question to the player, the coach interrupted and said that he wanted to confess something about his player first.
There he stated that “Juan Pablo (Vargas)’s performance the other day was on par with that of Militao and Marquinhos. The level of performance, physical, technical and tactical in the artificial intelligence program that we work on”.
“I told him that. He was at the level of Marquinhos and Militao. One plays for Real Madrid and the other plays for PSG. Juan Pablo played at that level.”said the coach.
