The communicator María Paula Tobón de Castro, known in Desafío XX años as Mapi, spoke about the personal challenges you have had to face outside of the program, especially a medical condition whose physical manifestations took him years to accept.

In interview with NetworkMapi, a member of the Alpha team of the 2024 Challenge, asserted that dSince he was 10 years old he has had to deal with vitiligo, an autoimmune skin disease that causes loss of color and spots.
“I started putting on a lot of makeup to cover it up. There was a group of girls who called me ‘the Dalmatian’, so I went home to cry“, revealed the Challenge participant.
He admitted that vitiligo caused him great suffering, however, the death of his grandmother helped him reflect on the issue and make peace with his condition. According to her, Stopping paying attention to vitiligo meant that his spots were no longer so marked.
Another of the great challenges he had to face was that, during his teenage years, lived in a relationship with a person whom he describes as toxic, which caused his self-esteem to decrease. All of these feelings caused her to develop an eating disorder.
However, love knocked on his door, which helped him find happiness. She says that, Once she leaves Desafío XX años, she hopes to formalize her relationship and go live with her partner.
“I’m waiting for the ringbut I can’t pressure it because I want it to be a surprise,” commented the bumanguesa, who has been with her boyfriend for 7 years.
