For the end of the soap opera Vice versa There are just under 20 episodes left, so sooner rather than later we will see how the story of Hugo – played by Yasiel Céspedes – will end, one of the characters that has not left indifferent the viewers of the audiovisual directed by Loisys Inclán.
In the plot that arrives on Monday, Wednesday and Friday nights on Cubavisión, the young man takes on the role of a speleologist, close to Armando (Víctor Jimcavik), and with a certain tendency towards Don Juanism.
Perhaps not many know that this actor lived in Mexico just before filming began and returned to Cuba to be part of it, something quite uncommon in national productions, at least in more recent times.
Regarding the latter, he said in an interview published on the Cubaactores website that, despite being abroad at the time of starting the recordings, he agreed to participate in the project to give a new character to all those who followed his career.
«They had requested this character through various means due to a nice background of my work with the character of Daniel. In some way, I felt indebted to the Cuban people and decided to play Hugo as a last gift, since he currently resides in Mexico,” he added.
In the dialogue itself, about what the future holds for his role, he announced that the public will be able to see him deal with situations that they do not expect and “he will experience great conflicts that he himself will have to resolve to find true love.”
The performer from Matanzas began as an advertising model at the age of 26, as he stated on one occasion, and later appeared in several video clips by artists such as Laritza Bacallao, Haila and others.
Then, while participating in one of those musical clips, he had to intervene as an actor and then the renowned casting director, Libia Batista, recommended that he study acting and this led him to join the amateur group of the Plaza House of Culture, under the direction of maestro Humberto Rodríguez.
