The first season of ‘Dungeon Meshi’ has officially come to an end, but Studio Trigger has given us a joy

Since it began airing in January, ‘Tragones y Dunmorras’ (‘Dungeon Meshi’) It has only gotten better and has ended up becoming one of the most popular anime of the year in its own right.

Studio Trigger has been in charge of bringing the manga of Ryoko Kuiand although for now we have to say goodbye to the series, we are already delighted by renewing it for more chapters.

Let’s go to the next level of the dungeon

‘Dungeons and Dragons’ follows a group of adventurers who lose everything after facing a fearsome dragon, and one of their members becomes trapped inside the dungeon.

To rescue her, Laios, Marcille, and Chilchuck They enter the levels again, but when they are about to die they are rescued by a dwarf called senshi which teaches them how to survive by eating monsters and everything the dungeon has to offer. Although she soon discovers that there are much murkier things in the dungeon than they imagined.

With 24 chapters, more than half of the manga has been adapted, so there is still plenty of anime left. Kui’s original manga consists of 14 volumes, so we can calmly settle into another season of the same length. Although it should not be ruled out that Trigger wants to take things calmly and decides to divide what remains of the story into two shorter seasons of 12 episodes.

The first season of the anime has been seen on Netflix, with Yoshihiro Miyajima as director, Kimiko Ueno as screenwriter, Naoki Takeda as animation director and Yasunori Mitsuda as composer of the soundtrack.

For now Trigger has not revealed anything else about the anime’s return, just a compilation video and a poster announcing the new chapters, and for now we have to wait for the release date. Right now the studio is also working on the return of ‘Panty & Stocking’, so maybe ‘Tragons and Dungeons‘ may be gone by the end of 2025 or even 2026.
