The actor Rafael Amaya says goodbye to his character of Aurelio Casillas in El Señor de los Cielos, a series that ended its ninth season with a shocking ending and with Telemundo’s announcement that the story of that universe will continue with La Dinastía Casillas.
It was last April when he revealed in an interview with ‘People’ that he would end his role as the character he has played for almost eleven years. “I’m ready for a new chapter in my career,” he said.
“Closing my cycle with The Lord of the Skies with this great ninth season fills me with great satisfaction. I am full of gratitude. “I am full of pride in the evolution of Aurelio’s character, as well as the series over the last eleven years,” he indicated.
Therefore, from the aforementioned media, Amaya sent a message to his fellow actors to continue with La Dinastía Casillas: “I wish you good luck.”
In another interview he gave to the Los Angeles Times, Amaya commented that professionally he had not done any more projects since he started with El Señor de los Cielos: “Since the first one I have done very few things, I think I have only done one movie and no series. I have done none, but this, then it is going to change.”
