According to her campaign team, Stein was arrested on Saturday at a demonstration on the university’s campus, which reported at least 80 people arrested in custody.
The wave of protests at these educational centers spreads, while other reports also reported that Arizona State University Police arrested 72 people on Friday, including 15 students, for “trespassing on private property after they established a unauthorized camp,” the institution said in a press release.

For their part, students at Columbia University, the epicenter of the student camping movement that began on April 17, filed a complaint on Thursday for violation of civil rights. The lawsuit came after more than a hundred arrests made by the New York police and threats to deploy the National Guard at that university center.
Despite police repression, students say they will continue their protests, according to the media outlet that cited Vincent Doehr, a student at the University of California, Los Angeles.
“I don’t think concerns about our personal safety are the most important thing for us right now.
“I think what worries us most right now is the violence that Palestinians have been suffering daily at the hands of the State of Israel for these last six months, and, in fact, for almost 80 years,” said the young man.
Health sources in the Gaza Strip say that more than 118,000 Palestinians have died, been injured or are missing there since October 7.
