Two people were arrested this Sunday at the entrance of the Orsay Museum in Paris, suspected of having searched damage several worksand belonging to this activist group for climate change awareness.
The suspects’ target was allegedly the painting “Les Coquelicots” (“The Poppies”), by Claude Monet, which can be seen in the Musée d’Orsay along with other outstanding impressionist works.

The arrests occurred around 11:30 a.m. on Sunday in Paris.and the detainees will be charged with attempted destruction of cultural propertyas confirmed by the Prosecutor’s Office to the Parisian newspaper.
