In a message broadcast from the Santa Rosalía municipality, Martínez denounced the intimidating actions of Cedeño, who hinted at the possibility of arresting those who disagree with the current regime.

Martínez emphasized the situation of the leader Ámbar Márquez, unjustly deprived of her freedom and whose only crime has been to advocate for political change through democratic means such as elections. Martínez described these attitudes as “truly fascist,” pointing out that the persecution of those who think differently constitutes an institutionalized policy of repression.

In his message, Martínez urged to put an end to this climate of hatred and persecution that extends throughout the country, arguing that it is imperative to stop this escalation of repression and respect diversity of thought as a fundamental part of a democratic society and plural. The complaint made by the political leader seeks to make visible the violation of fundamental rights and promote respect for freedom of expression and political participation in Venezuela.
