According to the CBC news network, the march began tonight in front of the Israeli consulate and the participants then toured other arteries of the metropolis with slogans of repudiation of the Tel Aviv maneuvers.

Meanwhile, the police reported that around 9:00 p.m. local time, the protest was at the University of Toronto, with no arrests or altercations between protesters and law enforcement.

The organizers indicated that it was an emergency action before the beginning of Israel’s bombing of Rafah.

This initiative was added to the sit-ins carried out by students at universities in Canada, the United States and other parts of the world, in solidarity with Palestine.

Israel imposed a devastating blockade on the Palestinian enclave, leaving its population, particularly residents of northern Gaza, on the brink of famine.

Its war pushed 85 percent of the population into internal displacement amid severe shortages of food, clean water and medicine, while most of the enclave’s infrastructure is damaged or destroyed, according to the UN.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government faces accusations of genocide before the International Court of Justice, which in an interim ruling last January ordered Tel Aviv to stop.

It also demanded that he take measures to ensure that humanitarian assistance is provided to civilians in Gaza.
