Ukraine has already begun to use the weapons provided by USA for attack Russian territory, confirmed this Wednesday an official from Joe Biden’s Administration who asked to remain anonymous. The news comes just days after the President ordered permission to kyiv troops to repel the attacks taking place in Kharkovone of the most active fighting fronts.
On May 30, Biden finally granted his counterpart’s requests Volodymyr Zelensky and granted him permission to use his weapons “for counterattack purposes” on this front, solely to “counterattack Russian forces that are attacking them or preparing to attack them.” “This is a step forward towards the goal (…) of defending our people who live in the villages along the border,” Zelensky celebrated then.

However, a report dated June 3, Institute for the Study of War stated that the kyiv armed forces had launched on the 1st or 2nd of the month an attack on a Russian S-300/400 air defense battery in Belgorodpossibly with the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System, better known as HIMARS. For its part, the Kremlin was upset by recent events and statements, and launched a new threat against the international community. In the last hours, Vladimir Putin maintained that “If someone’s actions threaten our sovereignty and territorial integrity, we consider that we can use all means at our disposal”, even leaving the door open to the emergence of a nuclear weapon. Previously, Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov had already mentioned that there could be “miscalculations” that lead to “fatal consequences.”
