Venezuela and Vietnam affirm excellent state of relations (+Photos)

After 35 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations, the ties between Vietnam and Venezuela enjoy an extraordinary level, Gil Pinto said when received by his host to hold talks that, he said, will be one more step in the direction of achieving greater close up.

Referring to today’s meeting, he anticipated that they would address the current situation of both countries and measures to increase cooperation in areas such as the economy, trade, investments, agriculture and research, with the purpose of further increasing mutual trust. and that the relationship is more effective and lasting.

The Vietnamese Foreign Minister also referred to the visit to Caracas made last April by Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, who confirmed there that Vietnam always considers Venezuela one of its traditional friends and important partners in the Latin American region.

Thanh Son also praised the socioeconomic successes achieved by the Venezuelan Government and expressed his confidence that, under the leadership of President Nicolás Maduro, it will continue to achieve greater achievements in the construction of an increasingly developed country.

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister arrived in this capital the day before and began his official program of activities this morning by paying tribute to the hero of Vietnamese independence, President Ho Chi Minh, in the mausoleum where his remains rest.

In the afternoon, Gil Pinto will hold a meeting with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, to end his first visit to this Indochinese nation.

Vietnam and Venezuela established diplomatic relations in December 1989, but it was not until a decade later, with the arrival of Commander Hugo Chávez to the Presidency of the nation, when these ties were promoted and began to deepen.

Hanoi opened its Embassy in Caracas in December 2005 and the gesture was reciprocated by the Venezuelan government in January 2006. That same year Chávez made a state visit here.
