Horror in Indonesia: a woman who had disappeared was found inside a five-meter python

They find a missing woman who had been eaten alive inside a python

A missing woman was found eaten by a giant python in Indonesiaafter the villagers extracted his body from inside the snake.

farida45 years old and mother of four, had disappeared on June 6 while walking through the forest to sell food at a local market near her home in the town of Kalempang. The python attacked her, biting into her leg and wrapping around her body to suffocate her before swallowing her, starting with the head. They think it would have taken two hours.

Worried about his absence, noni, Farida’s 55-year-old husband, alerted neighbors, who began a search. The next day, they found a python 5 meters with a large lump in his stomach. In a video of the scene you can see the huge snake with its tongue sticking out of its mouth.

Suspecting the worst, the villagers cut the python’s skin with a machete, finding Farida inside. The body was removed and taken to a religious burial in the Pitu Riawa districtin the province of South Sulawesi.

Noni expressed his regret: “I will always regret letting my wife go out alone. If he had been with her, the snake would not have dared to attack her. “I am sorry for the suffering she endured and feel sorry for our family.”

The head of the Kalempang village, Suardi Rosi, reported that Noni found the snake with a swollen stomach during the search. He immediately suspected that the python had eaten his wife. The villagers collaborated to capture the python and remove Farida’s body, which was intact, even in the clothes she was wearing when she was attacked, as fully digesting a meal of that size would have taken the snake weeks.

The reticulated pythons, the longest species in the world, inhabit Southeast Asia, including Indonesia. Its size can exceed 6.25 meters and occasionally attacks on humans have been recorded. The longest documented python measured 10 meters. Although they usually live in jungles and forests, in some areas they have been found in urban areas.

These types of incidents are extremely rare, but several people have died in Indonesia in recent years after being swallowed by pythons.

Last year, residents of Tinanggea district in the southeast of Sulawesi island killed an eight-month-old python that had suffocated and eaten a farmer.

In 2018, A 54-year-old woman was found dead inside a seven-meter python in the city of Muna, also in Southeast Sulawesi. The previous year, a farmer in western Sulawesi was devoured by a four-metre python.
