According to the National Hydrometeorological Forecasting Center, on the next 14 to 17 days, the mountainous and medium-sized areas of the north will continue to report rain, with a high risk of flash floods and landslides.

Consequently, and in a dispatch issued today, the Vietnamese head of government demanded that provinces and relevant bodies focus on overcoming the consequences of floods and rains and proactively responding to natural disasters.

It is necessary to pay attention to the stabilization of the lives of residents and support the families of flood victims and those affected by floods, the text states and proposes to closely monitor the evolution of the situation and adopt measures to guarantee safety and lives of citizens, especially those in vulnerable areas.

Minh Chinh’s statement, reported by the VNA news agency, also calls for providing complete and timely information on forecasts and warnings to relevant forces, ensuring traffic safety in affected areas, and assisting localities in search and rescue. in necessary cases.
