He israeli army announced on Sunday that it will apply a daily “tactical pause of military activity” during daylight hours in the southern Gaza Strip to facilitate the delivery of aid.
He noted in a statement that “a local tactical pause of military activity for humanitarian purposes will take place 08:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (05:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. GMT) every day until further notice along the road leading from the intersection Kerem Shalom to the road of Salah al Din and towards the north.”
The decision was made as part of the effort to “increase the volumes of humanitarian aid who enter the Gaza Strip“, after discussions with the UN and other organizations, the army said.
The Army specified that the measure began to be implemented this weekend.
Israel has defended its efforts to facilitate the delivery of aid, including the passage of Kerem Shalombut humanitarian groups warn of a severe lack of food and other essential goods in the besieged palestinian territory.

The announcement also comes a day after the Israeli Army experienced its deadliest day in Gaza since the beginning of the war, with the death of eight soldiers when the armored vehicle in which they were traveling exploded.
The explanation of the armed forces suggests that the explosion of a bomb hit the vehicle, which was loaded with explosive material, causing it to also explode and triggering a large detonation.
Since the war between Israel and Hamas began in Gaza, 307 Israeli soldiers have died. Meanwhile, some 37,296 Gazans have lost their lives, most of them women and children, in the constant attacks by Israeli forces.
