Israel has defended its efforts to facilitate the delivery of aid, including the passage of Kerem Shalombut humanitarian groups warn of a severe lack of food and other essential goods in the besieged palestinian territory.

The World Health Organization (WHO) has said that more than 8,000 children under five years old have been treated for acute malnutrition in Loop.

The international mediators have pressured Israel and the Islamist group Hamas to accept a truce agreement presented by the president American, Joe Bidento allow an exchange of hostages for prisoners and increase the delivery of aid, but negotiations have stalled.

The deputy executive director of World Food Program, Carl Skaustated that “with the anarchy on the Strip (…) and active conflict,” it has become “almost impossible to deliver the level of aid that meets the growing demands on the ground.”

The announcement also comes a day after the Israeli Army experienced its deadliest day in Gaza since the beginning of the war, with the death of eight soldiers when the armored vehicle in which they were traveling exploded.

The explanation of the armed forces suggests that the explosion of a bomb hit the vehicle, which was loaded with explosive material, causing it to also explode and triggering a large detonation.

Since the war between Israel and Hamas began in Gaza, 307 Israeli soldiers have died. Meanwhile, some 37,296 Gazans have lost their lives, most of them women and children, in the constant attacks by Israeli forces.
