Twenty-eight people were trapped hanging upside down for thirty minutes at the amusement park, Oaks Park, in Oregon, United States, when the “extreme” attraction Atmosfear stopped in its highest position.
Firefighters were ready to rescue the 28 park visitors, but fortunately they were able to work with the park’s engineers to mechanically lower the attraction.

In the video that quickly went viral, you can see that people had to swing back and forth after being trapped for so long because the attraction works with a pendulum movement.
Medics checked on all 28 passengers to make sure they were okay.
“I thought I was going to die,” Daniel Allen, one of the 17-year-olds who was in the park to celebrate his high school graduation, told US media.

The park’s website describes the attraction as “extremely spectacular and one of the most popular. It is two attractions in one: a 180-degree pendulum ride or the extreme excitement of the 360° ride.”
