According to a report presented to the plenary session by the Ministry of Finance, until the end of last March the disbursement of public investment capital reached only 84.4 million dollars, a figure that represents 14 percent of the established plan.

The situation is even more unfavorable regarding the liquidation of the capital for the implementation of the program, which reached only 1.53 million dollars, that is, one percent of what was planned.

In the debates, the need to adjust the program to resolve the difficulties and obstacles presented during the program execution process was emphasized in order to accelerate investment and meet the objectives, in accordance with the resolutions of the National Assembly.

Another of the issues addressed in the restart of work by the Vietnamese Legislature was the investment proposal in the construction project of the North – South highway to the west, Gia Nghia (Dak Nong) – Chon Thanh (Binh Phuoc) section.

In the afternoon session, the VNA news agency announced, the deputies will examine the draft laws on Notaries and Value Added Tax (VAT), both modified, as well as the proposed Parliament Resolution referring to the reduction of VAT.

The preparations to carry out the work of the seventh period of sessions in its second stage were put in place by the Standing Committee of the highest legislative body in its 34th meeting, held last week.

During it, 11 draft laws and resolutions were discussed that will be submitted to the National Assembly for consideration.

All the drafts considered cover sectors and fields that receive a lot of attention from voters and residents throughout the country, which is why the Permanent Committee carefully analyzed and gave specific opinions on each content, the president of the Legislature highlighted in the conclusions of the meeting, Tran Thanh Man.

The parliamentary leader urged relevant agencies to carefully carry out preparations to ensure the success of the seventh session due to its large volume of work, the largest since the beginning of the 15th Legislature.

The Vietnamese Parliament began its session on May 20 and the first stage of work ended on June 8. The second will take place from the 17th to the 28th of this month.

Among the highlights of the initial phase were the election of the presidents of the Republic, General To Lam, and of the National Assembly, Tran Thanh Man, as well as the ratification of the appointment of Le Thanh Long as vice head of Government and Luong Tam Quang as Minister of Public Security.
