The president of Cuba, Miguel Díaz-Canel, attended today the inauguration of the International Exhibition of Cuban industry, Cubaindustria 2024, which is taking place at the Pabexpo fairgrounds.

As on previous occasions, this fourth edition – until June 21 – will hold the International Convention and a fair in unison and will be attended by about 1,200 participants, of which 1,157 nationals and 108 foreigners from 22 countries such as Venezuela, Spain, France, Russia, Belarus, Turkiye, Namibia, China and Vietnam.

The fundamental objective of the event is to achieve greater integration, complementarity, and international insertion of the country in the industrial sphere, and according to the vice minister of the Ministry of Industries, Ernesto Cedeño, it will be a great opportunity to join forces and strengthen alliances.

At the Convention, 10 Congresses related to the industry will be held, with the participation of 927 delegates, 868 national and 59 foreigners from 12 countries; 333 presentations are confirmed, 315 national and 18 from foreigners; 62 master conferences, of which 38 national and 24 foreign.

On the initial day of the event, the XVI International Recycling Congress, the IV Electronics and Automatic Congress, the XIX Metallurgical Congress, and the IV Congress of Containers and Packaging HABANAPACK 2024 began.

Some of them will extend their exhibition days until today and others will begin to meet as the IV International Congress of Fashion, Environments and Styles FIMAE 2024; the inauguration of Habana Moda; the International Apparel Industry Symposium; International Furniture Symposium, and the International Perfumery and Cosmetics Symposium.

While the Fair will have about 360 participants, of them, 338 exhibitors, 276 national with 94 entities, 49 foreigners with 22 entities, 13 forms of non-state management and 22 linked to design activity, in spaces dedicated to light industries, packaging, military, steel, chemical, recycling, and more.

To date, the signing of 26 legal documents linked to investment, trade and industrial cooperation has been identified.
