The government has prepared about 90 shelters and in 74 of them more than 2,200 people have been evacuated.

Accidents and landslides occurred in several places in the country. In the center of the capital, the driver of a minibus was injured after a large tree fell on his vehicle, and a man was rescued by the Salvadoran Red Cross after being trapped by a rockfall in Zaragoza.

During the day, the Ministry of Education confirmed that more than 400 schools were damaged, while the red alert remains in place in 16 districts and the orange alert in another 18.
